I have hardly heard about people dying because of his/her laziness. Yeah, but lazy people face day to day problems that most active people don’t have to face. You know what? At the end of the day, both of them have their job done. Though the efficiency of the result may differ, the job is done. After all, nobody is perfect in this world, even that active people do mistakes. So, change your habits and handle unproductive days.
I’m not writing this article to promote people to be lazy, rather I’m writing this to motivate people to be productive (for both active and lazy). Can a lazy guy who has worked just for an hour outperform an 8-hour continuously working active guy? Of course yes! If that active guy underestimates to preview the overall work first and is doing everything wrong for 8 hours, there is the uncertainty that his work may be obsolete. But if that lazy guy did an overall preview and work just for an hour and knows what he has done is completely right, then his 1-hour work will be more productive than that active guy 8-hour work. So, being productive is more important than being busy.
I want to recall Pareto’s 80/20 principle where he stated that roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. So, be proactive and preview overall work and start focusing on that 20% of work which will give you 80% of the result.
One of the most effective ways of being productive is to change your unproductive activities into productive habits. Here, I have mentioned the 7 most effective ways to do that:

1) Rather than Scrolling Social Media’s feed, Create your own social media page of own interest
Rather than checking whats your friend and relatives are doing, which is not even your matter of interest. Why don’t you create your page of interest and start researching about that thing more and more, which will improve your knowledge as well as will also significantly improve your digital marketing skills? I don’t mean that you will have 10,000 followers within a month. I’m just saying something is always better than nothing.
For example, if you are a sports fan, create a sport fan page, if you like traveling, create a travel blog or travel page, etc.
2) Rather than Watching TV, YouTube, Netflix, Watch skill oriented video of own interest.
Nowadays, most of people have a habit of watching and scrolling Youtube before sleep. They keep on watching those videos without knowing how did they get there. Interesting isn’t it? Then, why don’t you plan to watch some useful videos rather than what YouTube has recommended you to watch? If you just keep on watching videos of the same thing for 2 months (say just for 20 minutes a day), you will know much more about that and you may feel like you are being pro in that field.
For example, you started watching about Mutual fund and stock market regularly. After 2 months, you will know much more about the global market and business than you could have ever thought.
3) Rather than Playing random games in mobile, use knowledge oriented fun apps
Nowadays, I see so many people who are busy playing mobile games like Pubg, ludo, sport games whenever they find themselves lonely. They can invest that time in using knowledge-oriented apps which are available for free in both Play store and Apple store.
For example, instead of playing Pubg, you can download Virtual Share Market apps. You can invest your virtual money in the real market and can gain real knowledge.
4) Rather than Oversleeping, Practise meditating
This one is the hardest one to implement, but I ensure, if you can implement this, this will be the best transformation you will have in your life. I know that nothing is like sleeping, but I’m just talking about oversleeping. Rather than sleeping for 10-12 hours a day, why don’t you sleep for 8 hours and practice meditation for 2 hours? Meditating for 2 long hours for a beginner is out of the question, but you can start practicing it as little as 5-minute meditation. After all, you will being doing nothing physically both in oversleeping and meditating.
5) Rather than Booking movie tickets, Book innovative seminar seat
Business seminars or any other knowledge-oriented seminars are too expensive in comparison to movie ticket. One or two seminars a year will be quite handy for normal people to build their minds positively. Cut down the expenses of those movie & clubbing, and invest in joining the seminar.
6) Rather than Overthinking, Think over useful topics
Many people have a habit of overthinking before sleep, while driving, waiting for something, or someone. Instead of thinking what’s your neighbor’s aunt will think about you if you will do this and that, why don’t you think about your social media page that you have just created. While driving to your office, think about your plan today, and while returning from office, recall your office day and plan for tomorrow in brief. And before sleep, I suggest you listen to affirmation videos from different motivation channel or you can listen to any podcast of your interest.
7) Rather than Going out multiple time in the same place for different purposes, Go out once and finish all at once
I have seen people who go to the market to buy groceries in the morning and in the evening to buy different kinds of stuff. Tomorrow, they will have another reason to go out. If they have been a little proactive, they could have gone out just once and solve everything, which could have saved a lot of time. For this, you could make of list of things which you don’t need now, but will be needed shortly, so whenever you will have to go out, you will do all of those activities at once. If you still repeat these things, remember you are a lazy guy who doesn’t want to go out repeatedly for tiny stuff.
